Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. 0830hrs General Gettys say it is directed that today every Battalion Level Commanding Offer personally visit his US advisor in his respectable Area of Operation or the closest to him. The purpose is to ensure that they have good commo with all Americal Brigades in the event of enemy activity in that district or hamlet to ensure that they can respond in the fastest available means. To ensure: that all information is forwarded to Americal Battalion closest to them. I realize in results you may have to visit districts more than once (All the Better). This district includes all ARVN districts and Americal Divisions, Report by 021700hrs February 1969. The district visited, by name and report any problems they night have. All units were notified and are to report to Counter Up Left 66 no later then 1500hrs the results. At 1000hrs 1-20 Infantry Command and Control Helicopter Dust Off wounded 18 year old, female to 6 support hit in right hip by round. At 1045hrs 1-20 Infantry Charlie Company reports SRRP Johnny in at BS872306 and move to BS857293 at 1630hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 2, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon and at 1005hrs Alpha 23 at BS708531, 44 BS718514, 55 BS729518, 43, and 18 at BS708519. At 0830hrs 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations today Bobby at LZ Thunder, Antolope at BS708526 and Johnny at BS872306.
Bravo Company
February 2, 1969
At 0750hrs Bravo Company at Bridge 124 received 1 round of sniper fire at BS744439 a 4 man team left out engaged 2 VC evading with M-79 fire, the results were 2 VC KIA. At 0800hrs Bravo Company requested a Urgent Dust Off for 1 US poisoned when he drank some Vietnamese whiskey and ate some Vietnamese food bought from kid outside perimeter went into convolutions, Dust Off completed at 1840hrs (Monroe, William H. E-3) Bravo Company 31 is moving into ambush location at BS576847, 41 at BS582923, Command Post with 51 element at BS583842. At 0830hrs 1-20 Infantry reports their SRRP locations today Bobby at LZ Thunder, Antolope at BS708526 and Johnny at BS872306. SGT DOUGLAS ELMER HOFFMAN LISTED AS KIA today (read January 20, 1969).
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Charlie Company reports their location 93 is at Bridge 111 and at 1830hrs the 23 element is at BS813360 and the 41 is at BS885324. At 0830hrs SRRP locations for 1-20 Infantry reports locations today Bobby at LZ Thunder, Antolope at BS708526 and Johnny at BS872306.
Delta Company
February 2, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1220hrs Delta with 44 on Bridge 95, and 43 on Bridge 94, and 51 at 925164. At 1930hrs Delta Company on Bridge 94 received some sniper fire from southwest call in 81mm fire at this time. At 0830hrs 1-20 Infantry reports their SRRP locations for today Bobby at LZ Thunder, Antolope at BS708526 and Johnny at BS872306.
Echo Company
February 2, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Recon Platoon is still moving at BS724488 head for Night Defense Position.
