Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1700hrs Delta Company at BS815359 reports grenade was thrown into Bridge 110 fill pit from north, negative casualties and area was check no enemy in sight. At 1945hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Delta Company 19th Engineer requests 1 APC to go with mine sweep team each day from bridge #107north to Duc Pho, Purpose to provide security for Engineers. At 2020hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC request 1 tracker team for Alpha Company 1-20 Infantry will pick up at Bronco south east pad at 0715hrs and was approved at 2110hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1623hrs Charlie Company 19th Engineer report at BS913176 vehicle moving north on Highway 1 received approximately 30 rounds small arms fire. Negative casualties fired artillery on suspected location with negative results.
Alpha Company

At 1200hrs Alpha Company is locations 1st Platoon at BS805326, 2-3rd Platoon and Command Post at BS818328. At 1700hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position is at BS819329, 1st Platoon is located at BS805326, 2nd Platoon at BS814326, and 3rd Platoon at BS816323. At 1953hrs Alpha Company 10 received sniper fire, returned fire, negative results, I US WHA gun shot wounds in both legs, call Dust Off at 1953hrs and completed at 2020hrs. PVT James E. Davis gunshot wound right side evac to 2nd Surgical Hospital at 2100hrs.

Charlie Company

At 1200hrs Charlie Company is located at BS785377 and at 1605hrs Charlie Company 20, 30 and Command Post is at BS766377. At 1800hrs Charlie Company has established their Night Defense Position at BS766377.
Delta Company
July 15, 1968
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown and at 0810hrs Delta Company 10 at BS912218, Delta 20 at BS913220 and Delta 30 with Command Post at BS913224. At 1200hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS923225. At 1810hrs Delta Company reports their night locations Delta 10 at BS907238 and Delta 30 at BS914243 and Delta 20 and Command Post at LZ Charlie Brown.
Echo Company
July 15, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0810hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS463465. At 1035hrs Recon Platoon moved ambush at BS461463 and it observed 3 VC 1 with weapon, all got away. There seems to be a lot of activity in area between BS464472 and BS4614673 would like to have Warlord elements to check area out and request permission to move back east to pick up site. Warlords are not available at this time. At 1200hrs Recon Platoon reports their location BS464465. At 1643hrs Recon Platoon at BS455456 observed 12 VC with weapons going into hootch in Village Recon Platoon location is at BS457458. At 1935hrs Recon Platoon at BS456458 ran into some wasps and bees have 27 men with stings, men are starting to pass out. Want security brought out along with medical evac 1735hrs. At 2020hrs 1st SGT from Echo Company informs me that he has 2 US in Chu Lai Hospital, 5 US in Minh Long and the rest of Recon Platoon here at LZ Bronco. All of the Recon Platoon is accounted for. Fire Support Base from Special Forces Camp at Minh Long, has requested to know status of CLDG Personnel, 1st SGT has 1 here at LZ Bronco, 3 at Minh Long and some in Chu Lai, 1st SGT will call Chu Lai and check on number of CLDG in hospital then relay to TOC then inform Minh Long. At 2215hrs 1st SGT final report 1 CLDG located at LZ Bronco, 3 CLDG located 9th Support at Chu Lai and 3 CLDG located at Minh Long.
