Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1115hrs 1-20 Infantry reports road is open from Bronco to Sa Huynh and to Bong Song. At 2018hrs CPT McDonald 1-20 Infantry ARVN units at Sa Huynh reports 1 VC Company in Gray uniforms with assorted weapons at BS908115 and BS895193.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

At 1050hrs Alpha Company is working off of LZ Thunder with one element running Search and Destroy operations in their Area of Operation and at 1900hrs have an ambush at BS831358.
Bravo Company
February 16, 1968
Bravo Company (-) is located at BS881328, at 1603hrs Bravo Company at BS885325 found a tunnel with French carbine SN94478, 1SKS SN K0232. At 1845hrs Bravo Company at Command Post at BS894321, 10 at BS895325, 20 at BS889321 and 30 at BS881330.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Uptight. Charlie Company at BS763864 found 1 US Hand Grenade booby trap attached to limb and was destroyed in place. At 1400hrs Charlie Company at BS772848 found document which was requested for equipment from VC Unit Company 21. At 1405hrs Charlie Company at BS750816 found hut with NVA pictures, burned hut. At 1700hrs Charlie Company at BS771858 engaged 2 VC results where 1 VC KIA and following blood trail now. At 1720hrs Charlie Company reports they closed on LZ Uptight.
Delta Company

Delta Company started the day at BS868360 conducting patrolling and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation and established their Night Defense Position at BS871359 with ambushes at BS846380 and BS859366.
Echo Company

Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. At 1050hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS765395. At 1845hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS783397 with ambushes at BS786402, BS783404, BS780398 and BS783394.
