Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder as the Battalion returns to Control of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade Control in the Duc Pho Area of Operation. Report from 1-52 Infantry from 1 US wounded said he was sitting on trailer holding a sandbag open for Vietnamese to put ammo into, the last thing the US soldier remembers was when a Vietnamese child dropped a M-79 round into the sandbag. Note: Delta Company 1-52 Infantry moved from Tam Ky to LZ Liz 1st Lift by 1515hrs and all elements closed on LZ Liz at 1731hrs. With Delta Company 4-21 Infantry from LZ Baldy to Duc Pho 1st Lift at 1055hrs and Last lift at 1420hrs, then Move to LZ Dragon by Hook 1st Lift at 1535hrs and last lift in at 1555hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0821hrs Bravo Company 19th Engineer mine sweep team at BS747510 observed explosion, a Lambretta hit a mine a mine at that location, a Dust Off was called for 1 Vietnamese women and 3 Vietnamese where killed.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1000hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon is at BS907235 and 2nd Platoon is at BS927253 and by 1138hrs Alpha Company is in a blocking and ambush position at BS937220 and BS937228. Intelligence: there is 5 men team sapper squad walking in each location with 1-82mm mortar and 1 Light machinegun in each squad.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company is at LZ Bronco and continued their Stand Down.
Charlie Company
June 16, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1000hrs Charlie Company is located at LZ Thunder with ambushes at BS852308 and BS867342. At 1338hrs Charlie Company at BS858308 when they spotted VCS and he ran into hootch and was picked up when he ran out the back door. VCS says he is a schoolboy, wearing light tan pants, no ID or weapon, results, is 1 VCS detained.
Delta Company

At 0700hrs Delta Company at BS907293 Vietnamese male walked into Delta location, questioned him, interrogator classified him as NVA. We classify him as VCS, will question him further VCS. At 1000hrs Delta Company reports their location at BS903291. At 1040hrs 1-20 Infantry wants to Chieu Hoi and will bring him to LZ Bronco for questioning. At 1205hrs Delta Company is located at BS901228. SP4 Jack E. Armey evac to 2nd Surgical Hospital sick at 0930hrs and was attached to 2nd Surgical Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS817403. At 1143hrs Recon Platoon reports at BS818403 found US type sandbag hide in a hole by creek in bag was 1 pair of civilian pants and 1 camouflaged brush hat will destroy. At 1307hrs Recon Platoon at BS819401 engaged 5 individuals with semi automatic weapons, results unknown at this time and checking area. At 1900hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS824404.
