Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0900hrs 1-20 Infantry reports that BA TO Special Forces had negative contact with enemy during night have contact with his higher now but does not have radio contact with us.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 20, 1968
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder and at 1040hrs 1-20 Infantry Tripoli OP advises Alpha Company that we do not have any chow supplies here and have not had any since yesterday, suggest you supply ASAP. At 1430hrs Alpha Company at BS873307 has one wounded VCS (female) Dust Off to Bronco and Military Intelligence classified her as Innocent Civilian and she told Military Intelligence she had a 15 day old baby back at her hut. At 1542hrs Alpha Company at BS896285, detained 1 VCS who Military Intelligence says is VC. At 1559hrs at BS886288 Alpha Company picked up two VCS classified by the Military Intelligence team. At 2200hrs Alpha Company is at LZ Thunder with ambush by 2nd Platoon at BS845303 and 3rd Platoon on the Bridges.
Bravo Company
February 20, 1968
At 0930hrs Bravo Company is located at BS754354. At 1525hrs Bravo Company at BS776323, 2 VC engaged with the results of 2 VC KIA with Webb equipment. The former POW that is accompanying Bravo Company he said this was his Base Camp, and the Military Intelligence personnel feel that all VC left area about 1 week ago. Bravo Night Defense Position is at BS731353 with 30 at BS732354 and 10 at BS714366.
Charlie Company
February 20, 1968
At 1825hrs Charlie Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS678869, with their ambushes at BS672867 and BS690866.
Delta Company
February 20, 1968
At 0930hrs Delta Company is located at BS875344. At 1515hrs Delta Company at BS876353 found tunnel and some rotted canteens, 4 M-16 magazines and 20 rounds M-16 ammo. At 2200hrs Delta Company set up their Night Defense Position at BS885318 with 1st Platoon at BS886433 and 2nd Platoon at BS878322.
Echo Company
February 20, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. At 0930hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS757373. At 2200hrs Recon reports their location at LZ Thunder. SP4 James Heavern was attached to 67th Medical Hospital.
