Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0903hrs requests an EOD team to blow a 8" dud, at BS815405 the Command and Control Helicopter will pick up team. At 0915hrs MACV Sub Sector, Duc Pho requests permission for 10 sampans with 40 people to go from BS835347 to the dam at BS839363, approved by 1-20 Infantry. At 1445hrs 1-20 Infantry to 11th Brigade Base Defense hold down the firing on base defense tonight we have troops north of LZ Bronco, south on ambush and on Tripoli.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2055hrs bunker 19 reports man crawling under wire engaged man ran into village. Bunker 20 and 21 then received 3 rounds from BS807388.
Alpha Company
March 7, 1968
Alpha Company 1-20 Infantry OPCON 4-3 Infantry conducted Combat Assaults from PZ vicinity of BS587852 and LZ Dragon (BS731528) into LZ Oak and Pine, commenced Search and Destroy operations in zone of Axis Pawn and Knight respectively; destroying enemy or forcing him into pre-selected killing zones OPERATION SHOW LOW is starting. 1st Lift Touch down 1116hrs LZ cold, 2nd Lift Touchdown 1150hrs LZ cold Combat Assault complete operation started. At 1545hrs Alpha Company found bunker concealed in bushes, it appears not been use recently and destroyed it. At 1130hrs Alpha Company at BS478695 one of their chopper #733 from 176th AVN Company went down crew OK suspected a malfunction of the tail rotor. Alpha Company 5 men injured in helicopter that went down, 1 with possible broken leg and the rest of the Alpha Company located the H23 Chopper from this morning at BS508888, 3 crewmen KHA. Alpha Company WIA this morning Alpha Company PFC Bobby Moorer, SP4 James Davis, SP4 Jerry Harper, SP4 Walter Veto, SP4 Thomas Taijeron. Alpha Company at 1430hrs at BS477699, 2 men returned from the Dust Off this morning and 3 men had lower back sprains all in good condition SP4 Jerry L. Harper, PFC James E. Davis and PFC Bobby Moorer was attached to 2nd Surgical Hospital. Alpha Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS477698. At 1545hrs Alpha Company at BS475708 found a bunker concealed in bushes, not recently used, and was destroyed. At 1830hrs Alpha Company is located at BS477698 and at 2230hrs Alpha Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS478711.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Bravo Company will have a element working area just south of LZ Thunder with a Security Patrol.
Charlie Company
March 7, 1968
Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dottie. At 1205hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon on Security Patrol with negative contact and at 1320hrs is located at BS458688. Charlie Company will have Night Ambushes vicinity of Dottie at BS648831 and BS659831. Had light contact for the day.
Delta Company

Delta Company at 0825hrs is located at BS904298. At 1230hrs Delta Company their Command Post is at BS904294 and they continued their Search and Destroy operations in their Area of Operation. At 1520hrs Delta Company at BS908292 found 1200 PJ, pair green pants and home made web rear in hedgerow, will evac and then at 1535hrs at BS909293 engaged 1 VC evading and results was 1 VC KIA.
Echo Company

Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
